I have developed a Gate Management System using the FX 9600 RFID reader. The system is designed to detect vehicles with RFID stickers, verify them through the application, and open a boom barrier upon successful verification. The demo without the boom barrier has been successful.
Now, I need assistance with the following:
- Hardware Recommendations: What specific hardware components, including the boom barrier and sensors, should I recommend to the customer for purchase?
- Barrier Control Integration: How can I control the boom barrier through the application, including:
- Sending a command to open the barrier after successful RFID verification.
- Ensuring the barrier does not close if a vehicle is underneath it and automatically closes after the vehicle passes.
Any guidance on these points would be greatly appreciated.

Although not an RFID or Zebra-Specific issue - Access Control Systems - can have remote operation via a GPIO (GPO) that would operate a Contact Closure for activating the Barrier.
A good suggestion is to work with the Building Management / Access Control system partner to then consider methods to integrate the RFID Use-Case solution to allow the access controls. ( Also you can Google for these system providers.)
Please Note: As you can see -- I did not make any recommendation - other than the high-level partner suggestion.
This is due to the Human-Safety considerations with Access Controls. These systems need to correctly designed / built / integrated to not pose a risk to persons - whose access provisions are being considered.
