Thank you.  This worked perfectly.  I had to delete the key and do a warm boot to get the input setting icon.   Phil

Had the same issue on the MC65. Setting found under Start>Settings>Personal>Input Select the Word Completion tab and untick “Suggest words when entering text” then click OK
If Input isn't available then you'll have to unlock it with a registry key
