Has anyone seen the MC9090 or MC75 where they are stuck on the black screen (off) and won't power on unless you remove the battery? Cold boot and warm boot don't work.

This sounds like the terminal is not fulling suspending and is stuck. Try running emScript's monitoring script to see if there is anyhing running while the screen is off.
