The manual "zpl-zbi2-pm-en.pdf" says that ^MD command has a range of -30 to 30. Below written "IMPORTANT: The darkness setting range for the &XiIIIPlus, Xi4, and RXi4 is 0 to 30 in increments of 0.1. The firmware is setup so that the ^MD and ~SD commands (ZPL darkness commands) accept that range of settings."
1) Is this mean what range is reduced to 0...30.0 for &XiIIIPlus, Xi4, and RXi4, i.e. low bound of -30.0 becomes to 0?
2) What models are included in XiIIIPlus, Xi4, and RXi4 families?

The ~SD command is used to set the current darkness, in the range of 00 to 30 (integer), on a printer. The ~SD10 will set the darkness setting on the printer to 10.

The ^MD command, with the range of -30 to 30 (integer), is used to relatively adjust the darkness based on the current darkness setting. The -30 and 30 are the relative values. They are not a low/high bound values. If the current setting is 10, the ^MD-10 will result in the darkness setting changes to 0 on the printer.

For the XiIIIPlus, Xi4 and RXi4 printers,  they accept the increment of 0.1. In other word, we can use ~SD10.1 or ^MD-10.1 (with a decimal point) in the value.

Is command ^MD-10.5 correct for the XiIIIPlus, Xi4, and RXi4 printers?
If it's true then the 'Important' paragraph is incorrect. Is that mean the ^MD command has valid values from -30.0 to 30.0 for all ZPL printers?

The ^MD-10.5 is CORRECT for the XiIIIPlus, Xi4 and RXi4 printers and the 'Important' paragraph is incorrect too. The answer to "Is that mean the ^MD command has valid values from -30.0 to 30.0 for all ZPL printers?" question is NO. The ^MD-30.0 to ^MD30.0 is correct only to the XiIIIPlus, Xi4 and RXi4 printers. For all other printers, we have to use the ^MD-30 to ^MD30.

Please note the final darkness setting on the printer would be the sum of the values from ~SD and ^MD, limited by the range of 0 to 30.

Yes, that understanding is correct.
