I have upgraded from Gingerbread to Jelly Bean recently, I am trying to connect to wifi.
It scans for Wifi, but when I try to connect to it, it just doesn't do anything. Wifi network gets saved but nothing happens after that

Try disabling your 802.11d.
In the wireless screen press the Menu button -> Advanced. Then uncheck 802.11d.
