Customer is using a MC9090 BSP21. The customer says that the device was sent in for service and it came back with BSP43. Due to software requirments the customer needs to be at BSP21. They noticed the CPLD version changed from 2.04 to 2.07. Their application can no longer run on the device due to CPLD version change.
The application works with CPLD version 2.04. Is the CPLD version tied to the OS or to a hardware change?

Has the customer tested their application with this CPLD version? What part of the application fails?
According to engineering, CPLD for MPA1.0 is updated only by J-TAG in manufacturing, so the CPU board may be changed to a new one.
