Barcode on some utlity bills is not scannable with old(Mfg.year 2004) whereas the same barcodes gets scanned easily with the latest LS2208(Mfg. year 2006 and onwards). Is this issue with firmware?

There was a code change in the 2208 that introduced some decode features absent from the original release. In this case it was a change that allowed the scanner to work at a slightly increased range. This increase allows you to pull the scanner back far enough to see the whole barcode and still be able to decode it. Chris

Herein Brazil we have this kind of barcode to pay bills and the symbology is I2of5 w/44charac that isn't default to the LS2208.
Just checking .... Didyou tried to configure the LS2208 with this configuration?
