We have to install AP-5181's (meshed) on poles in ares that a) have no power or b)only have night time power (power on for 12 hours at night). We are exploring Solar Powered 802.3af and UPS type 802.3af power systems to supply the required power. Systems are available from multiple vendors for this requirement. Does anyone have UPS and/or Solar AP Power systems installed in production use; and can anyone provide feedback including information on what vendors system works, and what does not work. I worked a deal like this last year which never closed, but the partner proposed Solar /battery technology from http://www.solisenergy.com/solar.htm If you look at this web page, they have a sizing guide for many american cities. Additionally, they can supply battery / AC voltage supplies which would charge at night and operate the equipment during the day--see attached pdf
