5) Clarify Case # 1856399 Customer trying to persist disabling backlight I used Remcapture [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight] "OnOff" = dword:00000000 this matched what the customer sent me. tried manually merging reg file tried clean booting the device in both instances, backlight did not turn off. please advise.

I guess they can also run an app on boot up to set it as desired.
Are you asking "How do I persist backlight off?" or "Why does this registry key fail to persist?"
I am requesting assistance to persist this setting. the disable the backlight - persist to be off.
According to Engineering, you can not keep the backlight off over reboot. You need to modify the backlight driver to do that (custom product).
