WiNG IDS -- In-channel scanning

When levveraging the integrated IDS sub-system in the WiNG platforms, there is an option to use APs to service MUs as well as performing scanning for rogue APs within the configured channel. Does this in any way affect the performance of the AP or the MUs being serviced by the AP? Is there any overhead? Or is this function suspended when any MU is actively associated to the designated AP?

On-channel scanning  function of Rogue is always active on a AP once its enabled . The association of an MU doesnt affect on-channel-scan because the AP is listening for beacons on its own channel . The beacons are sent to the switch from the AP for processing . There is  negligible/no performance hit in the AP  when we have on-channel-scan enabled .
