Has anyone competed against the Juniper SSG-5 Secure Service Gateway with the WS2000 or AP5131/AP7131? I have a customer considering a new roll-out for a small format store. They like the SSG-5, but the wireless it offers looks basic and limited.

I've not competed against this particular FW, but I know it reasonably well. (It's the same one we use for remote TEAM demonstrations). Baically, the SSG is a firewall first and a wireless AP second, the opposite is true of the WS2000. I would try to find out which specific firewall features the customer is most interested in and see how we can position the WS2000. Personally, I think the wireless extras we have on the 2K outweigh what it lacks on the security side. If it comes down to it, why not suggest they perform a PEN test on both, I think we would perform well.
