Hi all, I am doing one complex project. And get some questions about RFS7000. Could someone kindly help to give some suggestion? 1. Does RFS7000 do backup of muti RFS6000s simultaneously? 2.Does Option 189 support Wan link? 3.Does RFS7000 support Subneting 255.255.255.255? 4. I check the format of RFS7000 Certificate is .Crt,  not .Cer. Pls tell me how to change it? Thanks very much!! Sunzhiguo

For all of your questions start at the EWLAN portal of Motopedia http://motopedia.mot.com/wiki/Portal:WLAN  We have a howto and extensive info on each question you posed. 1. Yes. Up to 12 switches are allowed in a cluster. This can be a mix of RFS6000's and RFS7000's. 2. Question 2 is alittle confusing to me. Yes of course I can adopt AP's of the uplink port of a RFS6000. Are you actually going to adopt AP's across a WAN link? You would need set up the option 189 on the remote end of the link. The dhcp server serving the AP's getting IP addresses needs to have option 189 defined and configured for the subnet serving an AP. Please use AAP not a regular thin AP across a WAN link. 3. Question 3 made sense until you added 255.255.255.255. That is a broadcast address. If we limit the question to does WING support subneting the answer is Yes. Then add the broadcast the answer is still yes it just comes across as a wierd question FYI : P 4. We have a cute little howto Entitled:  WiNG_How_To_-_Digital_Certificates.doc The guides can be found here: http://compass.mot.com/cgi/fetch/283867744/guides.html
