Hi Team, My customer would like to have an alternative solution to Vocollect for Voice Receiving. Does anyone know if our other voice solution partners (Lucas, Wavelink Speakeasy, etc...) may do turn key voice receiving? We had a conference call with Voxware and the customer, and Voxware said they do not have a voice receiving moduel and do not support this functionality. Vocollect is charging a lot of money for replacement cable/parts/service, so customer would like to migrate from using the T2 and T5 voice devices, and reuse our mobile computer (MC3090 or MC3190) for both their other warehouse mobile computing needs as well as Voice Receiving. Since we are in a competitive landscape with Vocollect, ideally a different 3rd party turn key voice receiving software solution would be best. Another option is for the customer to stay with Vocollect and try on their own (with our support, right?) to use our MC's with Vocollect (if they can get the client software). Do any of you have experience with getting Vocollect running on our MC's, is it worth it, how much support is needed, concerns, etc... You can reply to this post or call/email me directly. Customer is using a warehouse management solution which has a long evloution as to what it is called. Originally was Dowes System, then turned into EXE, than turned into SSA, and is now called Infor.
