When Registering a PMP 320 AP on the FCC website...
What should a customer put for Antenna Polarization?  They seem to want H or V.  The customer tried DP, D, dual, SNT, 45, etc?

Emission Designator - The customer got as far as 10M0??D not sure what he should put for "Types of Modulation of the Main Carrier" and "Nature of Signal(s) Modulating the Main Carrier"

Modulation Scheme - The customer was going to put all 8 modulations

What should The customer put for "Do you employ a transmission method or protocol that is categorized as restricted or unrestricted?"

What should be put here "Select or enter the name or description of the transmission methods or protocols you will employ?"

This should answer the questions regarding Registering CAP320 on the FCC Website:

AP Antenna Polarization:  Dual Polarity +/- 45 degree

Emission Designator:

    5MHz channel:   4M68W7D

    7MHz channel:   6M63W7D

  10MHz channel: 9M27W7D

Modulation Scheme:  64QAM

Transmission Protocol Restricted or Unrestricted:

The PMP320 uses restricted contention protocol for operation only in the lower 25MHz of the 3.65GHz spectrum.

Protocol Description

Physical Layer

802.16e-2005 (5 MHz channel: 512 FFT; 7/10MHz channel: 1024FFT); 64QAM

MAC layer

802.16e-2005

I got direct feedback from Cheryl Black of the FCC regarding my PMP320 registration. I had tried selecting just vertical polarization and trying to comment it. She said to select X-Other and provide an attachment indicating +/-45 degree polarization. All of the adaptive modulations needed to be shown in the modulation scheme field. She said the protocol description field should mention that the radio equipment is utilizing a Restricted contention protocol which can prevent interference only with other devices incorporating the same protocol. The transmission method or protocol description is to explain the protocol of the equipment, ie how it will be used including engineering standards such as 802.16e or words like WiMAX, Time Division Duplex, etc.
