Is there a way to totally hide the SIP button? I have tried: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip] "AllowChange"=dword:00000000 But that only disables the SIP panel , not the button. I have a test app (VB.net) attached that has a menu and toolbar with 8 buttons (targeted for ES400 VGA display). I can remove the button programatically on a button event, but can't catch it it on app load. I would like to turn it off even before the app loads.

As per the following microsoft design guidelines for including soft key controls in an application for wm6.5,the soft key bar with SIP must be displayed at all times on Windows Mobile Professional and Windows Mobile Classic, even if empty. The following link might be helpful.
