Hi all I am wondering how to measure the output power of AP5131. Can anyone help ? I have connected AP5131 to a spectrum analyzer. I set the AP to use 20dBm and use only  1 antenna, either primary or secondary. I set the spectrum analyzer to max. hold, but I can't read any peak could reach 20dBm. Regards Antony

Hi William Thanks for information. What I have got was far lower than 17dBm. We could only got 12 dBm from our 3 units. BTW, why does the unit's power setting refer to EIPR ? In my understand, the power setting in the unit should be the power output directly from the port. Am I correct ? Regards Antony

They make test equipment that you can connect to the antenna conectior and measure the dBm at that point. The reading will be 17 to 17.5 dBm last time I tested one. The AP51xx needs antenna gain to acheive a EIRP of 20 dB or more..
