Customer's products are labeled with a Code 128 barcode only, both Code 128 and UPC barcodes, or UPC barcode only. When products are labeled with Code 128 standalone or alongside UPC, the scanner needs to decode the Code 128. When products are labeled with just UPC, the scanner needs to decode the UPC. So, we're giving preference to the Code 128, but we still need the ability to decode UPC. Customer is evaluating DS4208. According to customer, Honeywell Xenon does this. Any suggestions?

The DS 4208 supports 'multi-code' mode. I havent looked into your specific requirement but its soemthing to look at.
Thanks Malcolm. Unfortunately, when using Multicode Mode, if the Multicode Expression is configured with both Code 128 and UPC, the scanner won't decode unless BOTH barcodes are present. So, if there's only one barcode type present, it won't scan.
