Two simple tricks to help (a bit) staging AP6511

By default, AP6511 works on DHCP Client mode, but it can be addressed on the 169.254.0.0/16 network using last two MAC bytes as IP node bytes, once converted from HEX to DEC. I have found two silly tricks that can make our life a bit easier about this. I hope so. 1) No need to set a static temporary 169.254.x.y address on the PC. MS and APIPA will do for you. Just leave your PC as DHCP client, physically plug the cable and eventually you will get a valid 169.254 address, which is what you needed! Read this about Windows and APIPA. 2) No need to convert from hex to dec at all. Once again, MS does for you. Simply use this notation: 169.254. 0xF0. 0x0A (following AP6511 installation guide example). Just appending 0x to an IP address' byte makes Windows take it as a HEX number. And you can combine notations, so 169.254.0xYY.0xZZ seems to me the most convenient one. Read this about Windows IP notations.
