Does anyone know how to decode the battery Status call?

Integer specifying desired attribute to obtain:
0 - BATTERY_SERIAL_NUMBER
1 - BATTERY_PART_NUMBER
2 - BATTERY_CHARGE_CYCLES
3 - BATTERY_RATED_CAPACITY
4 - BATTERY_MFG_DATE

The battery serail number does not match the battery ID stamped on the battery.  Is there some special decoder for the serial number to make it match what is stamped on the battery. Does anyone know if the battery_mfg_date will match what is stamped on the battery?
