I was told by both customer and partner that there’s a mobile feature (SCRI) in release8 (R8) phones that can “update the network that UE is no longer on active PS mode (DCH), and request to be in temporary idle mode (PCH) to release some resources. This is usually the period where UE will switch from F2/F3 to F1”

In Apple iPhone4 (v4.2.1 and above, iPhone4S), this feature is called R8 FD which relies on the UE SCRI with cause “UE Requested PS Data Session End”, and this feature will make the phone hog onto the cell even though data transmission has stopped.

I’d like to check whether ES400 or MC65 or MC67 or MC45 have this “R8 FD feature that relies on UE SCRI”? Thanks ken
