When tapping on a text edit input on the TC70 (Android) device, the alfa keyboard appears. To enter a number (which is the case on almost every inputs in our applications) the user has to switch to the numeric key each time. Is there any way to control the virtual keyboard from EB?

Which device are you using? I just posted a application and in it you will see that the Signature Capture code has a numeric field. I ran this on a MC40 and it shows the number pad (when in Pen Color field) instead of full querty (when in the other fields). Having an input of type 'number' should do the trick
