Is it possible for Rhomobile to return the available free storage form iOS or Android?

What happens when a device is completely full and Rhomobile tries to write to the DB or save a picture? Is there a graceful warning or an application crash?

I have an app that records the users walk using GPS and they can also take pictures along the way. Everything is saved in "real time" to the DB. Very few users are reporting that after they are done recording, the recording is lost.

I have not been able to reproduce the issue by filling my phone up and I was wondering if Rhomobile silently doesn't save to DB or file system if full.

Is there a good way to simulate full storage conditions?
