Windows Error 2 Occurred While Loading the Java VM

I'm having trouble installing the last Zebra SDK version for Windows (mpsdk-installer-2-12-Windows.exe).
Installer was downloaded from Link-OS Multiplatform SDK.
Installer (LaunchAnywher) throws this error when gets 80-95%:

I tried several workarounds I found in google:

Include the Java Path into the environment variable. (https://developer.zebra.com/thread/34316 ). I also removed it to retry it.
Run installer from cmd: mpsdk-installer-2-12.exe LAX_VM C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_121\bin
Installed AndriodSDK_JAVA_ConnectAndPrint_AndroidStudio.zip ( Zebra Technologies - Connect and Print Over TCP/IP and Bluetooth – Zebra Android Link-OS™ SDK – Java – Android Studio )

None of them works.
My OS is Windows 10.0.

Because my JAVA is more updated then what is required, I would think that is not the issue. Or does this SDK only use the _60 version?

I tried the business of installing Java 1.7x and it did not work until I had uninstalled the 1.8x version(s).
This was even after I changed what I had in the Java Console and in manipulating paths.
Only after I had ONLY Java 1.7x installed did my Zebra SDK installation work.
Hope this helps

Hi Jay,

had the same issue when installing on win10.

have downgraded java to jdk7 and reinstalled it. then it worked. Have tried jdk8 and jdk9, both without success.
jdk7 did the job. next step will be upgrading towards jdk9 again.

jdk7 can be found here: Java Archive Downloads - Java SE 7
