is it possible to use the flash led of the mc75 camera as a lamp; switch it on / off via application ?

The camera flash can be enabled via DirectShow using the CameraControl_Flash property. However, please be aware that the camera will also be powered during this time, so there will be higher current draw than just the LED alone.
