Attached at two network maps that could be of use in customer discussion.
First, "Internet II" ... This seems to be shaping up as one of the ways to connect a "Network of Networks". Harris County and Texas A&M are intending to use this as a way to interconnect their system to others. They had several conversations about this with Charlotte for example.
Second, is the Texas LEARN network. This is a high speed network within the state between universities in various cities. Most states (every?) have something similar, and again, it's Harris / Texas A&M's expectation that this will be used for interconnecting systems within the state. As a political aside, the LEARN network can not provide service to taxing bodies. This was state legislation passed at AT&T's request to protect their market to government agencies.
